Blaming the Holidays -
Wow! Christmas rushed in and left in the blink of an
eye. Or at least that is the way it seemed to me as
I had to work through the holidays. Nevertheless, I
made the mistake of trying to go to the mall and use
a couple of gift cards that I received. I think the
next episode of SURVIVOR should be filmed in the harsh
environment of a mall before, during, and after the
Christmas rush. I would have gladly volunteered to be
voted off the causeway and into the food court last
night.
I hope everyone had a great holiday. I know I have
been remiss in posting things to the site as fast as
I should these last couple of months. I am blaming it
on the crazy holiday season. That's my story and I'm
sticking to it. I can tell from the lack of activity
and correspondence that all of our members have been
in the same boat. As a New Year's resolution, we at
the Springer Connection.com command headquarters promise
that you will be seeing more content and a new look
to the web site. We realize that we just can't rest
on our laurels and expect to see people coming back
and interacting without anything new to look at. So
look for changes.
Remember, this site is about members. Members who can
keep in contact and that means better support etc. for
reunion committees. So, keep recruiting members! I am
also looking for someone to assist in collecting Highland
Springs/Sandston (and surrounding areas) history as
well as old photos for the History Class section. I
really would like someone to volunteer to come up with
about 100 HS trivia questions for use later in a fun
email game we can all get involved in. Hopefully, we
will be having a bulletin board so members can post
messages and maybe it will spark some group interaction.
