THE
BLAST FROM THE PAST exploded
at the Acca Ballroom on August 16th, 2003.
Open to ALL Springers and targeted to the 60's and 70's-era
folks, the Blast From The Past was all it promised to
be. Old friends and neighbors caught up and met friends
they never knew before.
Buzzy Lawler's band Nat King
Kong opened the party with a rousing set of 60's
music. Nat King Kong can really play, and they have
their own original material too. Be sure to catch their
new CD "Kong of the Jangle",
at Plan 9 Music. It really rocks.
After Buzzy and crew kicked out the jams, The
Barracudas took the stage and brought back memories
of Teen Night at the Sandston Pool, of hot nights and
hot times. They played their original hits and some
new ones as well. They even let Donnie sing one. You
can get the Barracudas CD "A Plane View of the
Barracudas" from Amazon.com. The songs sound
better than ever.
